About
The Full Story
CHALLENGE. Neurodivergent adults — those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences — face significant barriers to social connection and community participation. Research shows that autistic adults experience loneliness at four times the rate of their neurotypical peers. In the Phoenixville region, there are no programs specifically designed to bridge this gap. The result is isolation, reduced quality of life, and missed opportunities for meaningful relationships — not because people don't want connection, but because the right spaces don't exist.
MISSION. Connect Us creates supportive and meaningful opportunities that celebrate strengths, break down barriers, and build inclusive communities where individuals of all abilities form lasting friendships and strong community ties.
SOLUTION. We design, coordinate, and facilitate accessible social outings across Southeast Pennsylvania — from outdoor adventures and arts events to community gatherings and hobby clubs. Every event is built around one principle: that belonging shouldn't require a diagnosis, a performance, or leaving part of yourself at the door.
Who We Serve
Connect Us is open to all adults — no diagnosis, referral, or prior experience required. Our events are designed with neurodivergent adults in mind, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and related learning differences. We also warmly welcome neurotypical peers, family members, caregivers, and community allies who want to be part of a genuinely inclusive social network.
If you've ever felt like social spaces weren't built for you, you're exactly who we built this for.

What Makes Us Different
No diagnosis required. Participation is open to anyone. You don't need a formal diagnosis, a referral, or even a label — just a desire to connect. Many of our participants are self-identified neurodivergent adults who've never had access to a space like this.
Small groups, low pressure. Events are intentionally sized (typically 10–12 participants) to keep things manageable and comfortable. There's no expectation to perform, impress, or keep up a social front.
Sensory-friendly, accessible venues. We scout every venue with accessibility in mind — considering noise levels, lighting, physical access, and sensory load. If a space doesn't meet our standards, we find one that does.
Participant-driven programming. Our participants help shape what we do. Activities are chosen based on community input, and our event calendar reflects the interests and comfort levels of the people who show up — not assumptions about what neurodivergent adults "should" enjoy.
Neurodiversity-aware facilitation. Every event is led by trained facilitators who understand neurodivergent communication styles and social dynamics. Our role is to create the conditions for connection — then get out of the way.
